Welcome back for another weekly WalkAround. Our 49 Chevy build has left the building and we are working on some of the other projects around the shop. Maverick, Firebird, Hudson, Charger. Welcome Back! On todays episode we make huge progress on the 1949 Chevy Hot Rod Build. We take a classic and bring it up to date with tons of modifications. We start off today by staining the wood with AUTOMOTIVE Paint. That’s right, something we’ve been doing for years to give the wood a custom look. We’ve had great results with this technique. So far we have wood that has been done this way for over 20 years and its still looks great. We also worked with a paint company on TV when I hosted truck tech where we worked with them to show this same technique. If you want a custom look in your bed. This is definitely something to try. We also finish painting the rest of the parts for the truck. This was a big accomplishment this week since this is such a time consuming part of the build. We also get all of our powdercoated parts back and get the RoadsterShop Chassis fully assembled!! Thank you guys for watching. We appreciate all of the support and great feedback.
